D.C. former mayor current council member Marion Barry (72 year old) was treated and released from Greater Southeast Community hospital after a fall on Monday morning. The former mayor suffered a gash near his mouth -- an injury that required stitches -- after he fell during his morning walk in Anacostia Park.
"I am in a little pain, and it will take a few days to heal, but I will get through this. I plan on being back on my feet in no time, good as new," Barry said.
