I used to love the Georgetown Flea Market.. then the school where the market was located needed to be remodeled. The Market moved to Va.. I never visited them thereafter. But now my favorite spot is back and I welcome them with open arms. Here's the info below:

THE GEORGETOWN FLEA MARKET RETURNED TO ITS OLD NEIGHBORHOOD
During two years, the Georgetown Flea Market Washington, DC's longest-running outdoor flea and best antiques and collectibles market- moved temporally to Arlington, Virginia but last September 7, 2008 the 36-year-old antique market returned at its traditional location, the newly-renovated Hardy Middle School, in Washington, DC.
This video shows images from the "Official Homecome Celebration" celebrated last Sunday, September 21, with the participation the markets founder Michael Sussman, DC Councilmembers Jim Graham (Ward 1) and Jack Evans (Ward 2), neighbors and long-time faithful vendors and customers.
The market meets every Sunday from 8:00am. to 4:00pm. at Hardy Middle School, located at 1819 35th Street NW, at Wisconsin Avenue NW across from the Social Safeway.
Fifty dealers participate selling antique and vintage wares: furniture, rugs, art, books, maps, mirrors, sterling and silverplate, fine and costume jewelry, table linens, china, flatware, lamps, vases, linens, clothing, garden ornaments, architectural elements and political memorabilia.
The Georgetown Flea Market was founded in 1973 by lifelong collector Michael Sussman. "I wanted to create a vibrant marketplace where people could buy, sell and hang out. Today, with the economy and the environment in such trouble, it remains the perfect place to find a bargain and save the planet. Go green! Buy antiques."
DC City Councilman Jim Graham, who fought hard to return the market to Hardy Middle School, said "The Georgetown Flea Market should be in Georgetown. It really contributes to Washington's vitality. I'm glad the city honored its promise to bring back the market."
This is DCs favorite haunt of area collectors, decorators, antiques dealers, tourists and celebrities, including actress Diane Keaton and Pulitzer prize-winning author Larry McMurtry, whose novel, "Cadillac Jack," a classic tale of the previously-owned, is partly set in Georgetown.
For those collectors in Arlington, there will still be dealers in Clarendon on Saturdays and Sundays, too.
